The American Eye Center together with the Vitreoretinal Society of the Philippines (VRSP) and Novartis hosted a luncheon round table on October 8, 2009 at Manila Peninsula Makati. At this informal and productive gathering, Dr. Mark S. Blumenkranz unselfishly shared his expertise regarding Updates on the Management of Macular Changes in Venous Occlusive Diseases. The members then had the privilege to discuss with Dr. Blumenkranz any issues they wished clarified. These included Age Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy and Retinopathy of Prematurity. Dr. Mark S. Blumenkranz, is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Stanford University. He has been cited for his medical and scientific accomplishments by inclusion in Who's Who in the World and Best Doctor Directories.
